Our hotel & guesthouse lies in a valley surrounded by mountains on the southern side of the Radstädter Tauern. It is a beautiful area for extended hikes, sporty activities or simply to unwind. The perfect destination for active vacations and family getaways.
What to do with the day ahead? The answer is quite simple: The Lungau and the SalzburgerLand are just waiting to be discovered by you. For motorcyclists, we are able to offer a wide variety of magnificent motorbike tours. Cyclists can look forward to 560 km of marked mountain-bike trails and 160 km of cycle paths. For hikers, there is an enormous network of hiking trails for tours, big and small.
When it comes to your excursion, the SalzburgerLand Card gives you free admission to over 190 sights and attractions throughout the SalzburgerLand. The SalzburgerLand Card is available from us. 4 cable cars carry you up to our local peaks. And when it comes to sights and folk traditions, the Lungau region has much to offer.
With the valley bus and Lungau public transit, you can happily leave your car parked here at the hotel. You hosts have a treasure trove of tips to help guide you through your vacation. Hiking & Recreation:
With our hotel as your base, you can set out on numerous beautiful tours. Clearly marked hiking paths lead you out through our glorious mountain world. The owner of the hotel will also set out with you once a week on a guided tour of the peaks.
The tourist office offers daily hikes or mountain-bike tours with a guide, which you are always welcome to join. When mushroom season begins, you can roam through the forests and fetch your own dinner home with you. Afterwards, the owner will serve you a dinner of semolina dumplings and chanterelles, which do, of course, taste far better since you collected them yourself.

Cycling:
500 km of way-marked mountain-bike trails, cycling routes such as the Mur Bike Path and special biking events - for example the Samsonman Bike Marathon to name but one - sure to set the pulse of every true cyclist racing in anticipation. Rental bikes, bike maps, great tips and touring suggestions are all available from us.

Horseback Riding:
Two nearby riding stables (100m), from where you and your kids can ride on horseback through the Lantschfeld Valley and get to know it in all of its picturesque beauty. Opportunities include: riding for kids, riding lessons, carriage rides, all-day treks with a picnic (fresh milk or buttermilk, bread with bacon, hill-country cheese or honey) at a hill farm.
Swimming:
4 open-air pools and an indoor adventure pool (Tamsweg) are also close by, as is the popular Prebersee mountain lake, located at 1700m above sea level amid a glorious mountain world. And just a 40-min. drive away, we find the Millstättersee, a great place for a refreshing dip.

Our adventure-hungry guests will discover a wide selection of nearby schools and organizers for rafting tours and paragliding opportunities, along with a glider field and a mountaineering school. We would also be glad to organize tours such as these on your behalf. Two 18-hole golf courses, St. Michael and Radstadt, are both just a short distance away.
